(Un)Known Project

(UN)KNOWN PROJECT builds on Louisville’s movement toward racial equity and healing, leveraging arts and culture to facilitate difficult and necessary conversations as we continue on the road to freedom and transformation.

The Project is a collaboration between artist-led nonprofit IDEAS xLab, the Frazier History Museum, Roots 101, various departments within Louisville Metro Government, and community artists and partners who will weave together poetry, photography, sculpture, public art installations and community-engaged experiences to create spaces for vulnerability and courage.

Current support for (Un)Known Project includes grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Mellon Foundation, the Ford Foundation, Humana Foundation, Foundation for a Just Society, Elhapa Foundation, Brown-Forman, Republic Bank, LG&E-KU and individual donors. Funds are still being raised - and donations are welcome and appreciated!

Email unknownproject@ideasxlab.com with questions or to inquire about public speaking, becoming an (Un)Known Project site, and more.
